Updating the Desktop App
The Files.com Desktop App includes an auto-update feature that alerts you when a new version is available and updates the app automatically. By default, Preferences → Automatically check for updates is enabled, and the app checks for updates every 24 hours. Note that the update notifications are not received without local administrator permissions.
To manually check for updates, select Preferences → Check for update now. We recommend using the default Release build for a stable and reliable experience, ensuring you're running the most tested version of the app.
Local administrator privileges are required to install or update the app.
The update procedure will be different for large scale deployments.
