Resetting 2FA
A site administrator can reset the 2FA method of user account. You might wish to do this if the user's 2FA device is lost or the user needs to configure a new 2FA method.
Site administrators can trigger a 2FA reset for another user through the web interface by editing the user's Two-factor authentication settings and choosing Reset this user's 2FA methods. All of the official Files.com SDKs also provide a method for triggering this reset. Because this operation is sensitive, the site admin must re-authenticate to confirm the reset.
A user account whose 2FA has been reset will be prompted to create their new 2FA method when they next attempt to log in via our web portal, if they are required to have a 2FA method.
