Troubleshooting the Underscore Folder
Remote Servers
The _/RemoteServers
folder will connect to the root folder of the remote server using the corresponding integration type. For example, SFTP based remote servers will use the SFTP protocol, Azure Blob based remote servers will use the Azure APIs, and so on.
If the authentication for the remote server expires, or is revoked, then the corresponding underscore folder will be unable to connect. Ensure that you re-authenticate the Remote Server.
The underscore folder uses the access permissions corresponding with the authentication details used when setting up the Remote Server. If you do not have correct access permission to the root folder of the remote server then you will see a permissions error stating "There was an issue getting the contents of this folder". Ensure that the credentials used for the remote server has access permission to the root folder.
Permission issues can be more common with FTP and SFTP based remote servers. This is because those types of remote servers can be configured to only allow access permissions to specific subfolders but still block access to the root folder. Most FTP and SFTP clients circumvent this issue by allowing the user to "leapfrog" the root folder and go directly to the lower-level subfolder. Although the underscore folder connects to the root folder, you can instead use a Remote Mount to successfully connect with subfolders with access permissions.
