ShareFile
Although there is no direct integration between the Files.com platform and ShareFile, ShareFile provides support for Implicit FTP(S), allowing you to connect Files.com to ShareFile using FTP.
Once you have connected ShareFile as a Remote Server then you can use various Files.com features and capabilities with ShareFile.
Our integrations are driven by customer demand. If you'd like to see a direct ShareFile integration in Files.com, which will provide better throughput and scalability, then please contact us and let us know.
Troubleshooting
ShareFile is not a Managed File Transfer platform and its FTP implementation is based on Implicit FTPS, a deprecated mode of FTP over SSL. Refer to the limitations listed on their web page.
Most problems are caused by the "8 connections" limitation, which applies that limit to all connections made to ShareFile FTPS for that user account. When configuring the FTP Remote Server connection to ShareFile, set the Max connections setting to "1", so that the Files.com platform doesn't flood ShareFile with too many parallel connections. If having Max connections set to "1" causes no issues then you can try incrementing this setting, but we've found that even setting this to "2" can cause problems.
ShareFile does not support SFTP (SSH based). Make sure you use FTPS (Implicit FTP over SSL/TLS) to connect.
Use a Remote Sync, rather than an Automation, to move or copy data between ShareFile and Files.com as Remote Sync provides more resilient functionality.
