IPv6

IPv6 is an internet protocol that supplies IP addressing. It was designed to replace IPv4 addresses, with its familiar numbering scheme of 4 "octets" of bytes, separated by periods, such as 169.254.254.255. While IPv4 has officially run out of IP addresses to assign, IPv6 can provide 340 undecillion unique addresses.
