Slack SSO
Files.com integration to Slack allows your users to use their Slack credentials to log in to Files.com. This is done by configuring Files.com’s Slack authentication feature. This integration allows Slack customers to seamlessly offer Files.com to their Slack users without managing any fresh credentials.
Add a new provider for Slack, save your changes, and the Slack authentication method will now be available when assigning an authentication method for a user in Files.com, and the Sign in with Slack button will be displayed on your site's login page.
It is strongly recommended to keep at least one site administrator with the password option as the authentication method, rather than assigning all to SSO, to prevent being locked out of Files.com in case of IdP or SSO issues.
Changing the Authentication Method to Slack
Edit the user's settings, go to the Authentication tab, and select Slack from the Authentication Method dropdown. This will enable Slack authentication for the user.
Make sure that the Username and the Email address are both set to the email address of the Slack account you will use for authentication.
You may now test by logging in to Files.com account using the Sign in with Slack button from your Files.com login page.
Files.com also supports a Folder Behavior that will post notifications to Slack when actions occur in certain folders in your Files.com account.
