Meet the team who works tirelessly behind the scenes to keep Files.com running.Kevin Bombino
Founder & CEO
Kevin is Files.com’s founder and CEO. Kevin’s job is to build, grow, and support the team that makes Files.com possible. He has obtained a BA in Computer Science from Harvard University. Prior to Files.com, Kevin helped pioneer the cryptocurrency movement in 2011 as one of the first Bitcoin miners and the first investor in Armory. Kevin is an aviation enthusiast and licensed pilot. He currently holds two jet type ratings and is working on his commercial pilot certificate for fun in his spare time.
Joseph Buszka
General Counsel & COO
Joe is the In-House Counsel and COO at Files.com, he oversees all matters relating to legal, personnel, and other operations at Files.com. He received his BS in life sciences and a BA in film from Pennsylvania State University, University Park. He then went on to receive his JD from Pennsylvania State University School of Law. Prior to Files.com, he was the legal counsel for ITV America, where he oversaw business and legal affairs for dozens of television shows. He has also co-founded an app company. In his spare time, he parents his two children, watches college football, plays games, and occasionally finishes an escape room.
Vivek Mody
Head of Product
Vivek heads our product team as the vice president of product management. Vivek oversees the product organization, which encompasses product management, product design, and data science. Vivek plays a key role in driving vision, strategy, product evolution, and innovation. He received a BS from California State University, East Bay in management information systems with a minor in computer science. Prior to joining Files.com, Vivek was the Head of Product for the Syncplicity product line at Axway. He loves spending time with his family and enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, biking, and golf.
Brian Larson
Vice President of Finance
Brian is the VP of Finance of Files.com, where he oversees all financial matters for Files.com. This innovative and rapidly growing software company has continued to inspire him to work at Files.com. He received a BS from the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse in accounting and finance. Prior to Files.com, he was controller at Forte Research Systems and the director of revenue at Advarra. When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children. He also loves watching sports, playing golf, building LEGO sets, and exercising.
Elizabeth Langill
Director of Customer Success
Elizabeth is the Director of Customer Success at Files.com. As the Director of Customer Success, she supervises our team of Success Architects to ensure our clients are receiving as much value as possible from the Files.com platform. She refines and documents processes for her team, serves as an escalation point for customer concerns, and provides ongoing training for the customer success department. Since joining the team, she has been continually impressed with the passion of everyone who works at Files.com. Elizabeth notes that there's an atmosphere of "let's find a solution!" coupled with an overall attitude of refusing to be blocked. The combination turns work into a fun challenge. She obtained her BS from University of Phoenix in business/ information systems. She also studied software engineering at Oregon Institute of Technology. Prior to Files.com, she was the customer success manager/ operations manager at ExaVault Inc. She was also the director of the human services division/ product owner at Raintree Systems. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, nature photography, and playing all kinds of games.
Sean E. Smith
Chief Information Security Officer
Sean is the Chief Information Security Office at Files.com. He is responsible for the Information Security and Compliance programs. Sean was a Naval Cryptologist riding submarines for 8 years, including being Qualified in Submarines in 1993. He was the president and owner of InterSource Computer Services, Inc, and currently is an instructor for cybersecurity certification classes. Prior to Files.com, he was the Systems Operations Manager, and Consulting Security Engineer for Geriatric Practice Management. Files.com is a nimble organization that does more than pay lip service to security, it’s incorporated into the DNA. Sean wanted the opportunity to lead the effort to mature the security program in support of the organization’s goals and objectives, which is a primary goal of any good security program. In his free time, he enjoys traveling in his RV and riding motorcycles in the mountains of North Carolina.

Board Member
Jeff is the co-founder and managing partner at Riverwood Capital. Founded in 2008, Riverwood is one of the premier technology investors in the world. Jeff's extensive experience investing in global technology companies provides Files.com with the opportunity to scale and fine tune our platform to best serve clients around the globe.
Harish Belur
Board Member
Harish is general manager at Riverwood Capital, investing in Files.com. Harish has led product management teams in network infrastructure and IoT, and was responsible for several multi-billion dollar, market-leading product families.
Eric Ma
Board Member
Eric is an investor and Vice President of Riverwood Capital. Eric is focused on investments in growth-oriented technology companies through primary and secondary transactions which drove him to see the potential Files.com has as a managed file transfer platform.
Scott Ransenberg
Board Member
Scott is a Partner at Riverwood Capital who has worked with the Credit Suisse Technology Group where he advised on and executed a number of strategic financing initiatives for leading public and private companies in the technology sector.
